limited edition fine art

Jasper Abels is a Dutch photographer and visual artist known for blending fashion, history and symbolism. His work moves between photography, collage and film, often inspired by forgotten stories, historical figures and the quiet poetry of nature.

Living and working from a rural farm in the Netherlands, Abels creates images that feel both timeless and contemporary. Through his work he explores themes of memory, identity and transformation, inviting viewers to slow down and step into a different atmosphere.

Somewhere between dream and reality.

His photographs are exhibited internationally and collected as fine art prints.Through this shop, a selection of his works is available as limited edition prints.

Pretty Sorrow is a documentary about Jasper Abels, The film explores how his artistic vision is shaped by personal loss—after losing both his brother and sister to suicide.

Abels’ imagery blends beauty with melancholy: ethereal models, dreamlike landscapes, and subtle references to life and death. Through intimate moments with his family and behind-the-scenes glimpses of his creative process, Pretty Sorrow reveals how grief, memory, and imagination come together in his hauntingly poetic photographs.

Three prints connected to this documentary reflect that same atmosphere—delicate, cinematic images where beauty and sorrow exist side by side.
